We recuperate every sort of biomass and organic waste material from their production facilities to generate energy for their own process or to sell heat and power to others.

Till about 5 years ago, only industries that could recuperate their solid waste needed a Vyncke energy plant. An MDF producer, a sawmill, a kitchen or door manufacturer, a rice mill or a sunflower oil refinery: with a Vyncke energy plant they could solve their waste problem and at the same time cut their energy bill, just like catching 2 birds with only one stone.

But today, more than ever, all industries are aware of the existence of biomass as a secondary fuel to generate renewable energy. Every factory or enterprise is now looking into a CO2 neutral operation with an energy plant with lowest environmental impact and best return of investment.

One of our competitive advantages is that our expertise covers a wide spectrum of bio-fuels, including: all types of wood waste, pellets, wheat straw, rice husks, palm oil waste, empty fruit bunches, coffee spent grain,… the list is long.

From dedicated energy crops to recycled organic waste, from very wet to very dry, from coarse fuel to fines: we either use specialised equipment for a specific fuel range or propose a dynamic system that can handle a variety of fuels. Fuel flexibility is a key for our energy plants, because our customers want the ‘fuel assurance’ not to be dependent on one fuel only.

Some biomass fuels have ash content with a strong tendency to slag and to block the heat exchangers. Others contain foreign matter that requires special measures in the boiler to protect the equipment and in the combustion process to protect the environment. The ever-changing properties of waste challenge us to adjust our combustion and boiler technology accordingly.

Vyncke’s R&D department keeps a strong focus on development of more combustion solutions and designs that can handle new fuels, while guaranteeing high availability and meeting the latest environmental standards.

The energy from flue gases are converted in energy of any other medium, like steam (saturated or superheated), hot water, superheated water, thermal fluids and/or hot air.

VYNCKE is not just a typical boiler manufacturer but a more complete energy solution provider with many references of thermal oil heaters, hot water boilers, steam boilers, hot gas generators and more advanced and combined systems.

Many industries require a multimedia solution: a single system that supplies energy in more than one form. For wood panel producers VYNCKE delivered energy plants that supply thermal oil for the press, steam for the refiner and flue gases to the dryer, with combined capacities up to 90MW_th.

But also many combined heat and power solutions are being deployed worldwide: boilers with steam turbines and thermal oil heaters with ORC machines (up to 3MW_e).
